The following applies to all animals within City Quarter and is governed by the Community Association CMS (By-Laws), relevant Strata By-Laws (of the pet owner), NSW Companion Animals Act 1998 and the City of Sydney Council Companion Animals Policy.
Dogs and other animals must be on a leash or in a suitable carrier under the supervision of a responsible individual at all times.
Restrictions apply to the type of animal that can be kept in each building. All pets must be registered with the relevant Strata via a Pet Register.
In NSW if your dog defecates in a public place or on another person’s property (ie City Quarter) you must immediately remove the faeces and dispose of it properly. Failure to do so can incur an on the spot fine of $275 with a maximum penalty of $880. We kindly ask you to clean up after your pets.
Dogs are not permitted in City Quarter if they are:
menacing, vicious, aggressive, noisy , deemed a nuisance or difficult to control
defined as a “dangerous dog”, “menacing dog” or a “restricted dog” under the Companion Animals Act 1988
defined as a “restricted dog” in the City of Sydney Council - Companion Animal Policy.
Village Green: all animals are strictly prohibited from the Village Green including the grass, mulched areas and pathways.
The Boulevard: Pets are allowed in the grassy area of the Boulevard; however, they must be on a leash or contained in an appropriate carrier.
We kindly ask that nearby parks or curbside nature strips be utilised for exercising or relieving pets.
