Animals

The following rules, by-laws, legislation and policies relate to animals in the City Quarter Precinct.
Community Association Rules and CMS (by-laws), Strata Rules and by-laws, NSW Companion Animals ACT 1998 and the City of Sydney Council Companion Animals Policy.

Dogs and other animals must be on a leash or in a suitable carry cage and under the effective control of a competent person at all times whilst in the City Quarter Precinct (unless in the confines of an occupants lot).

Village Green: Dogs and other animals are STRICTLY Prohibited from the VILLAGE GREEN area. This includes the grassed areas, mulched areas and village green pathways.

The Boulevard: Dogs and other animals are permitted on the grassed area of The BOULEVARD, must be on a leash or in a suitable carry cage and under the effective control of a competent person at all times.

Animals must not engage in any destructive behaviour whilst in the City Quarter Precinct.

Dogs are not allowed in the City Quarter Precinct if they are:
- a dog that is menacing, vicious, aggressive, noisy or a nuisance or difficult to control.

defined as a “dangerous dog”, “menacing dog” or a “restricted dog” under the Companion Animals Act 1988,
-
defined as a “restricted dog” in the City of Sydney Council - Companion Animal Policy.

Animals must not be exercised on City Quarter Community Property, Common Property.

Animals must not soil on the City Quarter Community Property or Common Property (including lawns and gardens, mulched areas, pathways and verges).
- In the event that an animal soils in the City Quarter Precinct than it is the responsibility of the animals owner or controller to clean up after their animal.

Council rangers can be asked to remove dogs in breach of laws.
